What's your one favorite vintage item that you passed on only because you couldn't afford it at the time? Here's mine:

 refocusing back on the subject, i would says any clemente item on the current leland auction. little too pricey for my blood and off target on my collecting goals.

I would have loved that, Hank Aaron Bi-cen bat from the last H&S auction. It sold for what I think is a very low price, $2500 or so.

Any Mantle bat.

I'd give it to my dad for Father's day.

Mine was a game-used 1978 San Diego Padres Randy Jones jersey. It was the rare alternate gold body with brown sleeves. It appeared on eBay last year. I bid up to $220, but it went for well over $500. It was also signed by Randy Jones near the tags in the lower left corner of the front of the jersey. Really, really, cool, especially since I love the Padres and Randy is my favorite player.

As a baseball card fan, I'd like a 1909 T206 Honus Wagner, but that's out of my league.
