    1887 A.J Reach Co Baseball bat

    Just a quick question on the value on it. It is in fairly good shape Length is 28 inches and weight is 1lb 8.1 oz

              The 87 would be the bats model number, not the year. Dates proably to the 1930's-40's. And being only 28" makes it a youth bat. Unfortunately not much value.

                I thought aj reach co was only a company from 1886-1922 then it became spalding?

                    Reach didn't engrave bats in the 1800s, the logo was painted on and the majority of their bats at that time were ring bats.
