    1980's Padres jerseys question

Can anyone advise on whether or not the padres recycled their game jerseys in the early 1980's. I know a good portion of the teams, did, just wasn't sure if the Padres were one of them. If so, does anyone know what teams (padres farm) wore the recycled jersey. I recently picked up a 1982 game jersey and it appears there was a patch sewn over the front PADRES at one time (faint stitching pattern). The PADRES looks all original, as does the number on the back. The name plate was removed however.

    Thanks

Yes, they did...up to 1982-83. I have seen the Wilson pullovers of the era both with NOBR and restored NOBs. Often the ones that went to the minors will have a number written on the Wilson tag (inventory number, perhaps?).
