New Orleans Saints jersey help

Hi all,

I am getting ready to post this to auction but wanted to see if anyone could give me any more insight.

This jersey seems to have all proper tagging but the name on the back is "T. Jones". I can't find anyone with that name and number on the 1993 roster. Woudl this be a preseason jersey? I don't think it's a practice squad because it is pretty nice for a practice squad jersey.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure who the ubiquitous T JONES is, but I can tell you that he was a preseason player who tried out with several teams. MEARS evaluated a T JONES Colts road jersey that was a 1994 shell with the NFL75 patch removed, and worn by him in 1996. I also seem to recall a Lions jersey of the same T JONES once being offered from sometime in between. All were numbered in the 1-20 range, so it was likely the same player, either a QB, punter or kicker with that number.
