Chad Harville error Jersey

I know colelctors like oddball game used stuff......Check out the spelling on Harville..it is spelled HARVILE. It would be cool if he actually wore it with his name spelled wrong.

A friend of mine once bought a Doug Mientkiewicz game used jersey from the Twins' Pro Shop with the Twins LOA. When he took it to Twins Fest for Doug to sign, he said, "Yeah, I'll sign it ... but I never wore it." My friend's jaw dropped .... Here, the jersey the Twins' issued to Doug for first home game but Doug refused to wear it because they spelled his name wrong so he got another one to wear in time for the game with the correction. The Twins' Pro Shop didn't notice, my friend didn't notice, but Doug sure did!

And it didn't take long before those guys were our favorites and everyone could spell Mientkiewicz and Pierzynski and ...

Funniest sign I ever saw it the stadium was a huge sheet that hung over the leftfield upperdeck railing that said something like,


GO, MINTKA-- (crossed out)
GO, MEINTKAY-- (crossed out)
GO, MIENTKICVITZ-- (crossed out)
GO DOUG!!!!!!!


I think Justin Morneau's first home jersey was spelled "Monroe" but I can't remember if he wore it that way or not. I should remember because I took plenty photos that night. Just getting old ....
