Kevin Greene RAMS helmet question.

I Bought this helmet with the slight hope that it may really be a Game Worn Kevin Greene Helmet as the story about it being given to a relative in the locker room(in 1991) did not really seem Plausible. Once the helmet arrived, it looks to be the real deal. Facemask is hammered (AIA date code) and appears to have been touched up with possibly blue paint on the bare spots? Horn decals have been replaced(looks like 3 times as the residue from the previous hors is barely visible(all near the same place). Dyno tape appears vintage and famemask clips are dated 1990.

Either way, it is an Awesome display piece as it has numerous(approx 34) Autos including Jim Everett, Flipper Anderson, Henry Ellard, Jackie Slater and K. Greene himself. Any comment by the helmet pros would be appreciated.

that's a great looking helmet and you got a steal @ $320 including s&h! it's 04/89 shell, with '90 clips and a '91 facemask and, imo, there's nothing about it that would disqualify it from being a kevin greene gamer...

The helmet looks good to me. I'm betting it is good. I only have one question on it. I sent the photos to Kevin so we will get his take. He says he does not remember give a helmet away. But, he has tried to forget the 91 season as Jeff Fisher took over the Rams as D cord, and tried to put Kevin at D-End in a 4-3 D. He accomplished what the other teams could not do, keep Kevin away from the QB, he only got 3 sacks that year as opposed to 46 the 3 prevous years.

I just got his email back and he says it looks legit. The tape inside is correct and the chin strap appears to be like his. Put me #1 if you ever want to trade or sell it.

Thanks for the input, I am kinda new to the whole helmet thing but I thought it looked legit. Roger, if I decide to get rid of it, I will give you first shot. Thanks for asking Kevin about the Helmet. I will post some better pictures in the NFL stuff thread later this week.
