    BAPS bats

I've seen several Louisville Sluggers that have BAPS where the name usually is I was just wondering what this is or what it stood for. Thanks

    Re: BAPS bats

    Is it BAPS or BPAS?

I bought a LS with BPAS on it from the DBacks team shop in '05, and I didn't have a clue what it meant. I contacted one of the equipment folks for the team, and was advised that it stood for Ballplayer's Assortment. Something about "leftover" bats, bats made while an order was being filled and then not needed, being sold to the teams at a discount.

Now if I can just find out what my "PULL PIECE" Orioles Max Bat means, I can die happy.

ahhh yes it is BPAS thank you very much very helpful!

Also another question I have another bat that Is a Louisville Slugger M9 that on the name plate says "genuine" "Model C271" "1XX MLB Timber"

I'm assuming that this is something similar...just leftover bats at a discount.? Anyone know?

I'm sure that BMH will be able to give an authoritative answer, when he has time.

BMH just answered my question regarding the same thing in the Bat Records section. Here's the thread link:
