Correct an Error! Chipper Jones black Mizuno gamers

An error made by either Mizuno, PSA/DNA, or batreference.com needs to be corrected.

I recently purchased a Chipper Jones black Mizuno Pro Ltd. professional model bat showing signs of game use, sent it to Mr. Taube at PSA/DNA for authentication and grading, and received the disappointing results today after over a month of waiting. According to Taube, although the bat was used by Jones, after contacting Mizuno, they indicated to him that Jones has never used Mizuno bats in a game (as stated in the LOA).

Batreference.com states on their Chipper Jones page that Jones tends to use black Mizuno, Glomar, Louisville slugger bats as a righty. I've also seen him use black Rawlings as a righty. I've sent an email to batreference.com asking them for more information on Chipper black Mizunos and to send me pictures of him using these bats in a game as I think they would have this evidence. I've also searched getty images for examples and have yet to find one.

Please post any information you have on Chipper Jones black Mizuno gamers, authenticated Jones Mizuno gamers, and and any pictures you can find of Jones using a black Mizuno like this one in games. Your help to get to the bottom of this is appreciated!

Also of note, here is a Chipper card with him using a blonde Mizuno batting right handed. Kinda disproves the whole "He only uses a black bat when batting from the right side of the plate" statement. And of course the Glomar/Rawlings statement as well.

Thanks a lot for your effort to the members who posted pics, which I sent to Mr. Taube.

Clearly Mizuno made a mistake in saying that Mizuno bats were never used by Chipper in games. That statement seems ridiculous coming from them.

The other issue is whether Chipper used the 34" bats shipped to him to try during 2003-06 since he apparently used 35" bats during that period. Mr. Taube contacted Mizuno and they said that to their knowledge, no Chipper did not use them in games.

The good news is that Mr. Taube ackowledged and apologized for the error after I sent the pics provided by Scott and the two other forum members (THANK YOU!). Mr. Taube said he would do more research to find out whether or not Chipper used 34" bats during games and revise the LOA when he reaches a conclusion.

Although anyone can buy MLB balls, I made a case that only a few people can leave such bold ball imprints on a bat like Chipper does and that the balls would have had to be pitched at MLB velocity to leave such marks. On top of that, this bat seems to match Chipper's use characteristics very well.

Take a look at the pics already posted and this one showing "Official Major League Baseball" and stars imprints from an official ball and make your own judgment. Could the leather scuffs, blue ink transfers, and the imprints have been made in BP?
