Hi, I have a question regarding bat order records for more recent stars. In particular, Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell. Craig has only used LS bats since his rookie year of 1988. Bagwell has used other brands, but has consistently used LS bats since late in his Rookie of 1991. Is it possible to find bat order records of these two guys? I do have Astros team receipt records since 2002, but I think I have found inconsistencies in quantity and ship/receive date data missing. I contacts LS and they said they no longer give those out. Thanks!

Unless otherwise noted, these records for both Bagwell and Biggio only contain orders sent to the Major League team (Bagwell - Boston and Houston / Biggio - Houston) that were ordered with specific length and weight specifications. They do not include orders sent to other destinations (K's Merchandise, Jobber's promotions, 'Baseball Promotions,' 'Baseball Miscellaneous.' etc. or to the Major League team with no weight specifications.

Good Luck in future collecting. Hopefully someone will add the records from August 1997 to the present. Feel free to Email me directly with questions on a specific bat manufactured during the above labeling periods.

Thank you very much for your help! I actually thought the numbers would have been higher for both players.

Thanks,

Chris

Brian or Mike,

Unfortunately, I lost my hard drive on my computer a few months ago and lost some annual order quantity data Brian sent me for Biggio bats outside of the records you had. Most importantly, I am trying to understand annual order quantity with regard to trends I see in quantity of bats that have made it to the open market. Any updates on post-1997 records as listed below?

Also, do you think the GUU site will offer bat records for newly inducted HOFers as some of the stars of the 1990s and 2000s start making the Hall?

Thanks in advance!
