Swisher is an awful baseball player though. He is a joke in the outfield, his personality supports the way he plays the game, like a clown. Hinske is a solid bench player you can put him in right, left, first, or third. I like him, and hate seeing him in pinstripes now. Now all he needs is to be on the Orioles and he has then completed his tour of the AL East!
I would personally take Swisher over Hinske ANY day for both numbers as well as personality. I may be partial to Swisher because he's such a cool and humble guy. He was great out here in Oakland. But the numbers don't lie in my opinion (I'm assuming Suave's post is accurate with the numbers.)

Thats the stats listed on Baseball Reference.
Here is a better one for you do these numbers???
Triple Hinkes at bats, hr's, & Rbi's and they still are not better then Swishers
Swisher is a joke of a baseball player. The Yanks need a starting right fielder and Hinske is not the answer. I think he will be a good bench player, but the AL never uses their bench.
What would an off-season be without the Yankees approaching the level of a possible Federal Government bailout package in their aquisitions.......followed up by a trade-deadline debacle commensurate to the infamous "Jose Canseco" pick up years ago.
Jose took his one at-bat in the World Series for the Stanks......stuck out. But ohhh, what he did for the Hankees in the clubhouse......WHOOOoooo whoooooo!!!
Let's all look forward to stellar stats of equal proportion from Henske in regards to this monumental brainstorm move by.......well......Is George still alive? Are the strings still attached to Cashman's limbs??
