Nice Way to Ruin a Jersey...

There is a 2003 Dontrelle Willis Marlins road jersey that is currently being auctioned by Hunt Auctions. It's autographed by Willis on the front in blue sharpie with the following inscription: "Game Used August 20, 2003 vs Col".

The problem is Willis didn't appear in the game vs Colorado on August 20th. I guess it's technically game used/worn since he was on the active roster and sat on the bench that day but just another game used inscription that IMO ruins an otherwise nice looking jersey.

It's not the worst thing, atleast you knapw when he wore it. There is a small chance that he could of wore that jersey in a game he pitched in.

It wouldn't be so bad if he had just signed it game used and left it at that. Given the fact that he's a pitcher and it's dated it to a specific game you would think that it's a game that he actually pitched in.

I agree it should have been differently phrased, such as simply 'worn.'
