    Manny Ramirez game-used bats

Looking for good use and strong use traits, prefer uncracked but not picky, signed or unsigned... all years and models considered.

    Pics and prices - michael_benko@yahoo.com

    Thanks, MB

To my knowledge Manny never swung a Nokona in a game and the criss-cross taping on the Stix is likely from another player. This is just based on reading past discussions on the forum and through hours and hours of looking at every picture of Manny available on the world wide net. They do look like nice bats. Trust me, if tape wasn't an issue I'd have twice as many Manny bats as I do!!

            Mike,

I agree with you on the Nokona, also in the description of the Nokona bat it mentions cleat marks on the barrel, which is not a Manny trait. The Nokona was most likely used by David Ortiz who favors Nokona and Rawlings bats and is know to tap his bat barrel on his cleats.

Manny has used criss cross tape on his bats in the past, as the pictures below show Manny with a similar taped bat and a taped Rawlings bat.

Thanks Bobby, and I know there are pics out there with Manny swinging a criss-cross taped bat but I don't think either one of us would jump at it since it's not too common. Especially on a bat dating back to the Indians where there are very few pics still around of Manny with any bats at all... let alone a Stix with criss-cross tape. I personally will only consider tape on a Sam bat after seeing enough pictures and reading enough posts.

Looks like someone is paying for the Nokona anyhow.
