Does anyone know what this MLB sticker is on a Griffey game used bat? It was offered by Hunt Auctions and wasn't sure if this is some early authentication sticker by MLB or did they come on bats for a short time?

Could it be from the 9/11 era? Just throwing ideas out there. Those stickers were put on helmets, wonder if any made it to bats or players put them on there?

No idea, just tossing out a shot.

I just can't tell if it is something added after the fact since it was the Hunt All Star auction that year or what, any insight?

you cannot tell from the photo but its a griffey bat when he was in seattle which would be no later than 1999.
