    2005 Carlos Beltran jersey

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Carlos-Beltran-game-used-autographed-05-Mets-jersey_W0QQitemZ160349289745QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_ DefaultDomain_0?hash=item25558ffd11&_trksid=p3286. c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A1|66%3A2|39%3A1|293%3A1|294% 3A50

I need some help with this jersey. I have never seen a Steiner GU jersey with this card COA. Is this right??

Also I would appreciate any opinions on this jersey. Most Beltran jerseys I have seen are size 46 did he wear 48 also??

The Steiner Cert is legit. Prior to 2006 all Steiner certs were cards.

Regarding the size GF had a 2005 Beltran sized 48 with the same custom tailoring (+2 " Slv) in their 2006 Summer auction.

In their 2007 Holiday auction they has a 2007 Beltran road cool base jersey sz 46 with custom tailoring (+2 " SLV).

The above is from the 2008 Mets inventory.

There is a Road Grey cool base sz 46 and a 2007 (08 ST) white alternative sz 46.

The road grey is cool base however the 2007 is not indicated as a cool base. (though it probably is)

I would guess the cool base jerseys are smaller verses the older non-cool base jersey years.

I'm sure some other Met collectors can offer additional opinions.

I thought I'd chime in because I own or have owned several Beltran jerseys.

From what I have seen, he DID wear 48 more commonly prior to 2006. I had a 2005 that was a 48 and still do have one of his final Royals jerseys, which is also a 48. He seemed to switch to a more snug fit recently (though 48 to 46 is hardly a big difference). One thing I would always look for in a Beltran jersey is the 2" added sleeve length. This is a customization I have not seen a Beltran jersey without. Also, make sure that the jersey has all proper manufacturer tags, set tags, etc. Hope this is helpful.
