If you will forgive another Yankees question, do any of you guys know for sure that the 2000 Yankees large team tag 'Y0' designates 'year 2000'?
I mean I know they are 2000 jerseys, but the reason I ask is I have also seen a few Yankees jerseys from Steiner with 'YO' and a few from Steiner with a '2000' year tag there instead of 'Y0'. I have done enough research to know the Yankees are wildly inconsistent with their tagging (just check the December Grey Flannel catalog to see that).
That said, it still seems odd to me that the large team tag would have much different stamping in the same season, one saying 'Y0' and another saying '2000'. I am not doubting this happened or the authenticity of either, I would just like to be sure the 'YO' doesn't stand for anything else ike 'Yankees opener' or something like that such as a one-game wonder. Any chance the 'YO' stands for anything more than just 'year 2000'?? Or does it simply stand for 'year 2000.'
Thanks very much.

I've got a game issued 2000 WS home jersey with the YO year tag, as well as a game used WS away jersey with the YO year tag as well. Hope this helps

Just from what I have noticed for Yankees jerseys, it would seem to me that the early year shipment of jerseys had "Y0" and the later year shipment had "2000".

Now it would be perfectly fine to have a World Series jersey with "Y0" or "2000". The didn't care as we do about such issues so they wore a jersey whenever.

If you have noticed on the Steiner stuff, it looks like in 1998 and 1999, the early shipment of jerseys had the player name and year in the tag and the later season shipment of jerseys just had the year.
