He is the man! How about Wise! Comes of the bench and saves the day!

This has to be the most White Sox chatter on this forum since 2005.

Just imagine if a Yankee or Met had done this. We'd have to hear about it for weeks.;)

Same thing if it were a Cub, K-Joe :) . Seriously, though, I'm glad Mark finished it off intact (with a big assist from D-Wise). Buehrle is an old-school professional who is a credit to the game. Meanwhile, maybe the perfecto-saving catch by D-Wise will silence the boobirds who have been jumping all over him much of this year.

buerhle works so quick, i wish all pitchers would do that. he had a 4 pitch at bat to longoria that lasted 33 seconds. he gets the ball looks at the catcher and throws.

take care

Plays like that catch are what makes sports so great, and instills "fan-hood" in us.

There was no hesitation by wise from the pop off the bat....he never broke stride, and once he locked on the ball he never took his eye off of it. He gave Buehrle everything he had to keep the perfect game alive....and to make that kind of a juggling catch with a fairly violent collision with the wall, finally getting a grip on it.....with so much on the line.....it's just incredible.

Then to listen to the replay of the last ground ball with the TV announcer calling out "A-lex-EEEEEEEEEEE".......gives me goose bumbs everytime I hear it.

This is why sports are so great.....and there's just nothing like a special moment in a great baseball game like this one.

Congrats to Buehrle and his teammates to have shared such a wonderful piece of history together.

Being a huge Cub fan, I always hate to see the Sox have any success. But, to me, Buerhle, is an exception. He's has a ton of class, and is a real patron of the game. He owes D-Wise a few steak dinners!
