Why did this Lawrence Taylor jersey go so cheap???

Not sure why, but this jersey sold at auction for around $650.00. Is there something I am missing or is the economy that bad??? Style matches the getty photo. Any thoughts?

Was there any provenance that came with it? What did the description say?

It even appears to me that the NFL shield looks to have the same slightly tilted alignment and a loose white thread on the lower left corner. Somebody may have just gotten a "steal" on this LT!

The answer to your question was best put by hblakewolf...bricol with lampson loa. With that being said, the jersey looks good to me by the pics. If you read the item description it says the nob was replaced with a slightly thicker font. A big red flag goes up anytime an item has been altered and even if it is real the value goes down. After comparing the pics I still think the jersey is the one on getty images and someone got themselves a real good deal. I watched this jersey and debated bidding on it. Nice jersey with shoulder wear and most likely a steal! Congratulations to the winning bidder!
