Re: Jordan Rookie Jersey -- Real deal???

I'm a Jordan game worn collector, but no means an expert on his rookie jersey, but a couple things I quickly notice that strike me as "odd":

1: IMO, the color is way too "orange/red" vs. GettyImages I found where the red all seems to be darker. Maybe it's just the lighting, but odd to me
    (#52286506 and #81411797)

2: In comparing the Rawlings size tag, I found a white/home rookie in a past GF auction that was labeled size 44 with +4 length tag:
The Hobby's premier auction site for game-worn jerseys, graded cards, championship rings, and Hall of Fame autographs.

In a past REA auction there was a red/away rookie jersey sold that was labeled size 42 but with no length tag:

The Ebay one is size 42 with +3 length, so not sure who is right here since all 3 are different??

3: The Ebay jersey has the Rawlings tag with different wash/care wording that the other two "real" auctioned rookie jerseys mentioned above:
The Ebay one starts off with 'Machine wash....', which both the GF and REA ones both start off with 'Do not dry clean...'. Odd that the Ebay one would be different??

I know in this Septembers GF auction, they will have a red/away Jordan rookie jersey with Bulls team LOA, but it's not up yet with close up pics of the tagging.

Hope this helps?! If it was cheaper, I might be interested in it just for the type of jersey it is, but for $4k, no way. Not even a rookie game issued is worth that to me

    Good luck!

In 1985, Rawlings changed the wording of "Do Not Dry Clean" on their tags. 1984 tags had the DO Not Dry clean thing. Jordan's first season was 1984-85. So both could be right.
