Forgeries For Sale / Part Two

    Just keeps getting better.

Up for bid here is an authentic Mitchell & Ness New York Yankees jersey. It is a Joe DiMaggio jersey commemorating the 1939 season and has his number 5 on the back and the 100 year Cenntential patch on the left arm. I DO NOT have a COA for this jersey. I bought it more than 10 years ago and I cannot recall if I ever had one or not. Plan was to frame it, but since it has been so long I thought I would try to sell this to someone more appreciative of adding it to their collection. The jersey is signed by 3 Hall Of Famers.......Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle and Ted Williams. Each HOFer added an inscription (Joe D added #5, Mickey added No. 7 and Ted added 521 HRs) The signatures are clear and legible. The jersey itself sells for $ 250 on the Mitchell & Ness site. Good luck. Paypal only $ 15 for shipping and insurance. USA only.

That Mantle is absolutely horrible. Dimaggio and Williams are VERY bad to.

Once someone does a quick opinion on this, it will be pulled.

The Ted Williams is the best of the three, but still a laugher.

Someone might want to educate this "forger" that Mantle never signed his name with a slant to the right. The "M"s are terrible.....just pathetic all around.

The DiMaggio is weak, with the real cincher being the double g's in DiMaggio. Joe had a certain way of continuing the loop underneath the top half of the "g".....leaving a distinctive separation before turning down for the big bottom loop. This guy had no clue how to do it.

I could be wrong but that is a 2nd generation tag for Mitchell and Ness that was not made until after 95..That jersey might have been released after Mantle passed away..Not sure if this has been discussed before on the board...
Looking for Doug Flynn and Joel Youngblood items.NY Mets jerseys 78-82

        Thanks Scott dcrules01@msn.com

The M&N tagging on the jersey above is from 2001 at the earliest.

I didn't see a need to point it out being as the Mickey Mantle "autograph" is horrid.

This tagging was brought up in a discussion 2+ years ago with confirmation from M&N.
