Prince Fielder's outburst in locker room...

Seriously, it reminded me of pro wrestling with the backstage camera, bleeped cursing & security team. Prince needs to calm down at games, he treading into Milton Bradley territory...

Now we know why Price acts like a spoiled child and speaks like an uneducated street thug. When searching for information on him, the following was found: “…he was selected by the Brewers in the first round of the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft out of Eau Gallie High School in Melbourne, Florida.”

A little more education and maturity would certainly benefit him.

Nice to see you back on the forum, Howard. I couldn't agree more with you about Prince Fielder; he came off terribly in the interview. He didn't take responsibility for his actions, and he just repeated the same thing over and over. I can't have respect for a guy like that, someone who can't be accountable for his own actions.

Not really...a big guy like Prince would chug the whole keg before BHO and Mota could even get a sip.

Maybe I missed the part of the interview that made Fielder look like "an un-educated street thug". If anything, it reminded me of the interview Nuke LaLoosh gave at the end of Bull Durham.

With regard to the post game video. Given the reports that came out of after the game, I was expected a lot worse. Save for some verbal ranting, which you can't really tell who was saying what, nothing happened. Frankly, I don't see what the big deal is. What I don't understand is why there wasn't more attention paid to the decision to hit Fielder, in a game you are up 17-4, just because someone on your team got brushed with a back up slider. I get the protect your guys thing, but that made no sense to me.

Years ago Mota has a run with Mike Piazza during the 2002-2003 seasons.

Trouble seems to follow him around.

I also didn't pick up that vibe, but I definitely get the "spoiled child" part and I think that's spot-on. He probably DID grow up a spoiled child of a ballplayer (who even named him "Prince" of all things), brought to games, on the field as a kid, etc.

So, it's not that shocking when he acts out like he owns the field.

But I do think though that trying to start a brawl in the locker room (and let's not kid anyone Matt, what did you think he was going to do should he get in there?) is a bit over the top... He's a big guy (like an Ortiz minus the happy-go-lucky attitude). If he was going to retaliate that it should have been an on field fight, get bounced from the game and enjoy the night off back at the hotel.

I agree. Brawl on the field and let us fans enjoy it. Fielder broke unwritten baseball protocol by trying to go into the Dodger Clubhouse after the game.

After watching the video, I am in agreement with the guys that say the Fielder should have taken care of things on the field. Once he failed to do that, he was outta luck. Everybody else takes it out on the field, that is why they have brawls. He lost his chance, too bad for him.
