Q. What do the NY Giants and the Mets' playoff hopes both have in common.

A. They both left town a long time ago!

:) :) :)

This is good news. Too bad I can't afford one right now. Hey,Wilpon's getting soft. No Dodger uniform?(that would be the final straw) From what I read they'll look somewhat like this:

I was rather hoping for this version:

or
better, the 1911 world series surprise uniforms:

Never mind, they're ugly and as "mandrake" mentioned on the thread -"The Mets are honoring the NY Giants 8/14-16' on Baseball-fever.com,leave it to the Mets to take a great idea and turn it to mush. The least attractive NY Giants uniforms was chosen :

which are based on:

Unbelievable that this version was chosen. I would have moved some items to pay for a jersey if only the version was those I've mention earlier.

I think the jersey is ugly as hell and to say it is typical for the way this season has gone. I was hoping for a flannel to be honest they are not much different than the Civil Rights jerseys..Cheap:mad:

There's a Mr. Met patch on these throwbacks. At least it's not a Citi Field patch.

Nevertheless by putting Mr. Met on these jerseys they just turned this throwback jersey to throwup IMHO:eek:

Those are in no way a throwback. They're an "inspired by". Big letters, one on each side of the chest, as the two New York teams wore in the early days of the 20th century.

But that vague reflection is where the similarity ends. Modern colors, modern typeface, modern Mr. Met patch.

They're closer to the Yankee uniforms of the period than those of the Giants.
