What year did the NBA Logo appear on game used jerseys? And did all teams follow this uniform change that year or did it happen slowly? Any info on this subject would be helpful. Thanks

It was 86-87. I would assume that every team made the change that year, but I can't say for sure.

Did the Knicks have the NBA logo on their jerseys during the 1986-87 season? If so, was that Ewing's second season in NY?

Sand-Knit was the official uniform supplier for the NBA starting in 1986-87 and they had the NBA logo sewn (embroidered, not a patch) on the upper left of each team's home and road jerseys that season.

tcfor3 is correct on the jersey logos...as an addendum, large NBA logo patches were affixed to warmup tops a few years before that.

1981-82, I think.

That would be pretty close...I think 1981-82 was the season where the warmups bore an NBA 35th Anniversary patch, which included the NBA logo in its design.

The large NBA patch was on the warm up jackets from 81-82 through 85-86 for most teams.I have not seen the large NBA patch on Bulls or Celtics warm up jackets from those years.80-81 was the year that the 35th anniversary patch was on the warm ups.

Has anyone ever seen any shorts or jackets with the 35th patch still attached?

i bought this jackte many years ago....and i can't believe any NBA player wore it, it fits really too small......
