original owner or buying second market

just curious do most members here prefer to be the first and original owner of a piece or do you prefer buying second market instead? my friend was complaining today that he could never buy from another previous owner a game used item because the extra handling might ruin what could be good spots for photo matching. your thoughts?

My best photomatched item came from another owner... I don’t really see a problem.

The guys that I want to buy from are conscientious with their pieces anyway... its not like they leave them in their shed in the back yard... and I too take care of my stuff and try to preserve as much of the original look and feel as possible...

so... I guess it really comes down to the individual you are buying from
