Interesting 70"s Red Sox Jerseys at Hunts

I got no traction with this in the McAuliffe Folder, so thought I would cross-post this in the auction folder. These are very interesting jerseys as they may or may not be good examples of pieces shipped to the minor league club and then reclaimed...

So what are we to make of the large set of jerseys that closed last night at Hunts. They have both Pawsox and Redsox stitching, mcauliffe tagging, etc. Perhaps they are private-ordered, but why were they remade if not by the Pawsox/redsox. If someone were ordering privately, would they really order Diego Segui and the other commons here..using only numbers the Sox used in the given seasons?...and then change the numbers? Also note that the first link is actually Tiant's #23, not Burleson...looks like a typo by Hunts.

I don't know much about Red Sox McAuliffe jerseys but the one's on this Hunt auction all had the tagging on the INSIDE of the front tail. And any of the Red Sox McAuliffe's I've seen have had the tagging on the OUTSIDE front tail. Could this be a difference in preference between the Paw Sox and the Red Sox specs. Wish I had remembered this auction.. I would have paid the $200 for the Tiant jersey even if it is just a minor league jersey with his number...
