As if the price isn't funny enough, check out the eBay feedback.

Not to cause an argument here, Jon, but I really don't see how it's anyone's business how much people charge for their own things. Sure, the bat's kind of expensive, but people "over price" things every day on eBay and everywhere else for that matter. Price policing naturally occurs when nobody buys it, which is probably what will happen here.

Right now, you can also get an Albert Pujols '04 Leaf card for $1 million (by the way, this one's funny because the seller actually states that the book value is $15):

A signed World Series "Remy Report" by Jerry Remy himself for $80k:

or even a 1954 first issue of Sports Illustrated for $30k:

The Manny bat's starting to look like a bargain. Anyway, no hard feelings here, Jon. There's just no point in getting worked up over the bat.

I agree with the post from two above.

If a seller wishes to pay eBay their fee, they can list an item at whatever price they choose. It is not our business to tell someone how to run their business.

If the item sells, hats off to the seller. If the item doesn't sell, maybe the businessman will have to figure out the market themselves.

I had this bat on my watch list and it looks like someone bought this Manny bat.

This person either hit the lottery or it's a kid messing around.
