Thought this would be a good question. I have heard that smaller bat companies will send bats to players with their name and correct weight/length hoping they will use the bats and order more. If a bat company makes a bat for a player with his name on it and correct weight/length and sends to the team/player....Is this considered game issued ( if player/team did not order the bats..were sent as comp bats from the bat company)? Obviously, if they were used by the player ( or another player on team) they are considered game used but what if they are not used? Issued or maybe a better description.... "proto type"?. ......I thought of this because of all the talk about the Game Issued gloves that have been discussed lately......I would call the gloves "Pro Stock/Pro Shop/Proto-type" and maybe the same for these type of bats.
