I'm kind of a novice collector of game used bats. Should I be worried about a bat that is being offered to me that doesn't has the anniversary stamp on it and was used late this season or are bats being used without them stamp as well. Thanks for any help.

Re: 2009 LVS Bats
I remember BMH stating that players can request bats without the 125th anniversary logo on them.SCOTT

Re: 2009 LVS Bats
Thanks for info on Sheff, kind of interesting. Wonder if its become a superstitious thing with him or he just plans on selling all his bats from this season and wants it on there? Always see Sheffs stuff on the market, good to know.Looking for: Joey Votto game used items.

Re: 2009 LVS Bats
Anyone know for sure what the stamped numbers mean?
I picked up two bats today. One is stamped 8149. Which I assume is Aug 14, 2009. The other is stamped 179. January 7, 2009? Seems odd.SCOTT

Re: 2009 LVS Bats
Not really, we didn't have the laser in place before we started making ST bats so many will not be lasered but stamped. Sorry I didn't reply to the PM but it was full and I accidentally dumped all of them instead of just a few.Brian HillerichComment

Re: 2009 LVS Bats
Thanks for the reply. I guess I assumed the only bats that were stamped were the ones when your laser went down in the summer. Makes sense now. Thanks again for being a part of this forum.SCOTT
