ROCHESTER, N.Y -- For the first time in 13 years, Michael Jordan (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=175) is not the fan's favorite male athlete.

An online poll conducted annually by Harris Interactive determined that Tiger Woods (http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/players/profile?playerId=462) is the most popular male, knocking Jordan out of the top spot for the first time since the survey was introduced in 1993. Over 2,000 people voted this year.

Rounding out the top 10 were Brett Favre (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=1025), Derek Jeter (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=5406), Dale Earnhardt Jr. (http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/driver?series=wc&driverId=150), Shaquille O'Neal (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=847), Kobe Bryant (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3118), LeBron James (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3704), Jeff Gordon (http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/driver?series=wc&driverId=67) and Barry Bonds (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=3918).

Bryant is back in the top 10 after not making it last year. James, Gordon and Bonds are there for the first time.

Venus Williams reclaimed the top female honor after a one-year absence, with sister Serena Williams right behind her at No. 2. Last year's favorite, Mia Hamm, was third.

Following the top three were Michelle Wie (http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/players/profile?playerId=1187), Danica Patrick, Michelle Kwan, Annika Sorenstam (http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/players/profile?playerId=1029), Maria Sharapova, Anna Kournikova and Sasha Cohen.

Andrew,

That is amazing. Actually, the fact that Bonds was in the top ten makes me question the poll. I just find that so hard to accept.
