David Ortiz All Star Game Used Bat On Ebay???

I am curious for other peoples opinions on the Ortiz bat. Yes I did email the seller and I am waiting for a response. But I just noticed his ebay auction and there is only 12 hours left. So I wanted to get peoples thoughts.

Here are mine:

Highly unlikely used for the All Star game. The Seller says he bought it from the Tigers. The Tigers normally sell game used items that are left behind in the dugouts / locker room ...wherever. The Red Sox only played the Tigers in 2007 before the All Star game. Which means this bat was left behind before the All Star game took place.

Anyone else's thoughts?

I think your missing my point.

How could it be from the All Star game when (most likely) this bat that was sold by the Tigers was let to the Tigers previous to the ALL Star game.

Are you suggesting after Ortiz used this bat at the All Star game he gave to the Tigers to sell??

Looks like a suprising amount of use on the right hand hitting area. Also an unusual tape job for Ortiz in my opinion. I saw that tape job more often on Manny or Varitek bats.

I doubt it was left behind BEFORE the All-Star game. It's more probable that Ortiz didn't use the bat during the All-Star game, left it behind and a Tiger player used it.
