Thx Tom. Man i have worked hard on this. i feel very fortunate to find a photomatch being its from the 80's when cameras weren't as advanced as they are today. I also just picked this up from UGA-1. Herschel Walkers 1981 Jersey that was worn during the 1981 All American Photo shoot. It does show a few marks on it. Not real sure if its Game Used, but could be. I am leaning at this moment closer to the Photoshoot. Tim Wrightman which played for UCLA and then the Chicago Bears where he was part of the 85 Super Bowl team recieved this from Herschel after the Photoshoot in which they sat beside each other. They traded jerseys after it was all over. I have a personal letter from Tim and a few photos of Walker wearing it and him eventually signing it. Its a beautiful and Unique jersey. GO DAWGS!! Oh and nice find with the UGA Walker Jersey. That is by far one of the coolest finds ever if you are a Georgia Fan, or even if your not. Have to admit, he was a great football player. I am personally not a UGA fan, but that is one jersey I would love to have. Great find.

Thx Clemson2004 It is a Beautiful jersey. My Holy Grail. Here is my display of my David Pollack Uniform. Jersey is from the 2004 season i believe. the helmet is from the 2003 Sugar Bowl vs FSU and has been Photomatched. Its just a half mannaquian piece. I found mine at a thrift store. Great clemson pieces. GO DAWGS!!

Thanks for the idea. I thought of using a mannequin, but can not seem to find one locally, will keep looking. Nice display by the way. I was born in Atlanta, and even my highschool football team was a carbon copy of the dawgs, mascot and all. Let me know if you decide to let go of anything. I would love to add one more Clemson gamer to my collection...only have one signed by Dwight Clark...who played for Clemson and then the 49ers. Any thoughts or ideas on how to pick up a newer Clemson gamer please let me know.

Wouldn't be willing to let go of that Clemson helmet would ya?

Anyway, I know a few people that are past football players at Clemson and are friends with the equipment manager, including one of the members here. The university used to sell off their jerseys and helmets like candy, but they put a stop to that. Still can get stuff if you know who to talk to. Next time I talk to them I will let you know if they have anything they could let go as I am also trying to see what they have.

I found that one helmet I have years ago...in fact my Clemson one was the 2nd helmet I ever acquired. Morning "Clemson2004", I collect primarily ACC/SEC/NFL helmets...with Syracuse and Louisville joining the ACC I had to pick up one of their gamers. I had a Syracuse worn in the 2007 season from several years ago and when this one presented itself...well here I go again. We attend all the State games at Carter-Finley and tailgate big time...our centerpiece on the food table is the State helmet versus who we are playing that day...so had to have it. All my friends, the kid's friends and our tailgaters around us look forward to which helmets I will bring...all enjoy.

5 separate pieces...it's just plain white die cut vinyl, like you would get to put on the back window of your car

this was from Tommy Bowden's final year, so it's the much smaller paw. I know they went back to the large paw when Dabo took over, but I don't know if they still use these or the one piece 20 mil type now

On another note, I met up with Raymond Priester today. We had lunch at The Varsity, and talked Clemson football. He is a very nice guy, and very charismatic. He signed his old centennial home game worn jersey that I have and the centennial helmet that I have. Talked about playing football and how he has his old orange helmet and one of his jersey's, etc. I did get pictures of him signing it, some pics with him, and he even signed a LOA that I whipped up real quick to hang next to them on my wall. Was a nice experience. hope to meet up with him again.

Tom - nice pickup on the Louisville helmet. With that many reconditions that was likely a 2010-used helmet and the first of that style with the white facemask and the "northwesternish" center stripes. You can see how the stripes don't come down under the front bumper on that one - they removed the previous triangle-shaped red stripe with narrow black outlines and put the new striping on it. The facemask had been red from 2003-2009.

As a Louisville alumni (1984) I am quite glad the Cards landed in the ACC - continuing in a premier basketball conference and stepping up to a vastly improved football conference. Unfortunately they don't make the move until the 2014-2015 academic year.

Was that actually worn by Whitehurst, or is it one of the customized blanks that are going around? Some guy on eBay had a bunch of them he was trying to pass off as real gamers for $100-$150 each. He had #2, #6, #10...white, orange, and purple. They had numbers, but had never had nameplates, were all cut the same, and the Nike tag at the bottom looked funky like half of it was missing. I've seen a bunch of completely blank ones in that style from numerous sellers recently. Funny how they sell for around $50 without numbers, but then sell for over $100 a month later after someone sews numbers on.

Oh I know what you are talking about. No this is not one of those blanks. I do not collect stuff like that. This jersey is actually at my mothers. (She is a clemson alumni) The pic was taken by her and it stays in her closet. She also has a chick-fil-a bowl jersey, a few other white ones and a purple one, so I have been posting/will post everything our family has. Picked up some game used California Golden Bears football jerseys at the team surplus sale held recently. Enjoyed meeting up with forum member calgrad1999 at the sale. Can't beat $50 for game worn jerseys! The only bummer was all the nameplates were stripped off the jerseys even for the guys no longer playing. In 2008 Cal didn't use nameplates but the jerseys I picked up from that year had the players initials written on the Nike tags by the equipment manager.

Four of the jerseys are of guys currently in the NFL and one who has a chance to get drafted next month. In order they are a: 2008 Alex Mack #51, 2010 Chris Conte #17, 2008 Jeremy Ross #3, 2009 D.J. Campbell #7, & 2010 Marc Anthony #2. Not pictured is a 2008 Chet Teofilo. I have photomatched the Ross jersey and have good leads on photomatches for the Mack & Conte jerseys. Just need some high res images to confirm.

Hey everybody!

Even though i have focused my collection on game used items from the chicago bears and the amsterdam admirals, i got a few items i just really liked.

When i saw the Army-navy game in 2011, when the Navy was wearing their Nike pro combat uniforms, i just fell in love with the uniform! I had to get me one! i managed too collect some items i like to show you.

First off al, as a collector from the netherlands, collecting is a pretty expensive hobby! the helmet i had too replicate, (i really dont like the so-so or the replica items, so this pretty much feels like cheating!) BUT! i studied game-film, photos, did some corresponding with some people who work with the team. I bought an authentic Riddell speed helmet, got the textured paint job, got me the best looking decals i could find. only thing missing... is the black front bumper. but thats something i'm looking into.

The jersey is a authentic one! so are the gloves.

Recently I have been focusing on pairing the GU jersey of a player with a helmet and in certain cases I have the jersey and the helmet from the same season together. I located Larkin's 2005 game worn Cotton Bowl jersey to go with his helmet. Really pleased with the pairing...the helmet had the visor removed yet one can see where it was attached. The rear should have had a memorial decal on the orange stripe...not there but the residue of where it was is there. I seem to have a match picture-wise on Getty with the jersey and certain wear marks. Enjoy...they display nicely together with my "doll" as my bride calls my one mannequin.

Jim - it's actually the other way around. Dr. Schneider and his group sold their design to Bike. When Bike's parent company was purchased by a larger medical device company the football helmet division was spun off as AHI - the medical device company didn't want the liability of having a football helmet division. AHI only lasted 12-18 months before they were purchased by Schutt.

That being said your Michigan helmet is very rare as it has that "AHI" logo on it - it is from the very first year AHI was independent company. The more familiar "AiR" logo came in right around the time the company was purchased by Schutt, so the "AHI" logo wasn't around very long at all.

Two jerseys from the inaugural NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in January 2012. Not sure why I bought them since they don't fit into any category of my collection. But they're nice jerseys in unwashed condition. Players are QB Nick Stephens from Tarleton State and WR Jason Barnes from South Carolina.

Keith Jackson turned in his greatest offensive performance asa Sooner while wearing this jersey against Missouri on November 11, 1985. He caught 5 passes for 133 yards and TD.

The jersey was also worn against Texas on October 12,1985. Troy Aikman popped a quick pass over themiddle to Keith Jackson and he roared 43 yards setting up Oklahoma’s first TDof the game.

Worn against Oklahoma State in the “Ice Bowl” on November30, 1985.

The Sooners won the National Championship in 1985.
Keith Jackson is considered one of the greatestcollege and NFL tight ends of all-time. At Oklahoma he caught 62 passes for 1,407 yards, an average of 23.7yards per catch. Jackson wasn’t bad atrunning the ball either, just ask Nebraska. His nickname was “BOOMER SOONER”! Jackson earned All-Conference in 1985, 86 and 87. He was a consensus All-American in 1986 and87. Keith was inducted into the CollegeFootball Hall of Fame in 2001. Votedoffensive player of the century at OU.

Yeah, the B-2 is absolutely awesome, although some thought it was too much and an overpowering design.

Hey everyone, here are a couple of jerseys that I picked up this month that I'm really excited about.

The first is a Georgia Bulldogs pro combat jersey from the 2011 Chick-Fil-A Kickoff game vs Boise State. I acquired the helmet earlier this year, as well as the gloves, and cleats. I have been searching for a jersey for a long time only to find out that all the jerseys were given to the players after graduation. Long story short, I was able to get one directly from former UGA cornerback Branden Smith. This is probably my favorite jersey that I own.

The second jersey is a black Georgia Bulldogs jersey from the 2008 Sugar Bowl when UGA defeated Hawaii 41-10. This jersey was also acquired directly from the player. Former UGA WR Walter Hill. Hill was a RS freshman in 2007, however the following year he was dismissed from the team. He dressed out for the Sugar Bowl, but did not play.

My first Michigan State University game used pick up.

I purchased this in a recent MSU Official Online Auction. This authentic game worn Spartan Football Home Alternate Jersey was advertised as being worn in Michigan State's 23-7 win over Eastern Michigan on September 22nd, 2012 at Spartan Stadium. The lack of the Big Ten patch on the upper right chest, makes me think it is actually a 2010 or 2011 jersey. I think the most likely game is the 2011 Wisconsin game and worn by Taiwan Jones. He only saw limited playing time in that game and that would line up with the limited use. I'll do some additional research, but still happy with my purchase:

Here is a super rare 1983 Iowa State MVP helmet. Probably less than 10 ever used. They were awarded weekly to MVP players but it became really easy for opponents to key in on the better players so it was discontinued. It is in inverse colors of the regular helmets that year.

This is Mardy Gilyard's 2008 University of Cincinnati Bearcats season helmet used during the 2009 Orange Bowl as well. Helmet is signed on the face shield on the front as such. Helmet shows tons of use. He was a two-time All-American in college. Pretty sweet helmet and tough to find college items.

Picked up this practice used Oregon Ducks Puddles helmet. I know the AD added the decals once they went on sale but still think it is a unique helmet. I am getting the Heisman winner Mariota on this and another customized used Oregon helmet I picked up recently in May!
