    Hi David---

Although early in his career Ed was a H174, P80, and S2 guy, he was exclusively a K55 user from 3/19/1964 to 4/14/1969. Later, after a few miscellaneous orders, he placed six consecutive orders of R43 bats at 35.5 inches / 32 to 34 oz . Broken down by year, he was shipped 24 R43 bats in August, 1973 and 6 R43 bats in March, 1974. Of those orders, the weights (marked on knob) would be the only factor that could pin it down more specifically as follows:
32 oz in 1973, 32.5 in 1973, 33 oz in 1973 and 1974, 33.5 in in 1973, and 34 in 1974. All orders appear to be wide grain with Flame Burned finish,--- however it is possible that two 1973 orders were natural, or regular, finish.

    Good Luck.
