I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. Awesome uni though. Playing semi-pro?

Yeah. Crazy how it ended up happening, but in short, I walked onto the team 4 weeks before the 1st game, made the cut, and the rest is history.

Thanks man. Try-outs were back in Jan. They had 65 guys on the squad when I came on 4 weeks ago, but they are only allowed to dress 60, so some got the axe.

Most teams around us only have 25-35 guys for a team so I feel honored to play for a squad with this much talent and better than an 80% win record for the past 6 seasons.

I am very blessed with a supportive wife, good health insurance, and my summer free.

Well, it isn't Bears related, and at this moment in time it isn't even game used, but our thread was at the bottom of the page and I thought it would be fun to add.

Nice! I know this is a Bears thread but I think its cool that collectors are able to share something outside of the hobby, from time to time.

BTW - Rush-54, Cyclones-0, and RICK, no broken hips, and no RUSH to the hospital. Not even a blister.......;)

Scott, I wish we were in the same league. I think it would be fun to bump heads for 4 quarters and have a whiskey or two afterward.

Best of luck with your season, my man!

While this is not a Chicago Bears jersey, I thought some of you might find this piece interesting nonetheless - especially the Greg Olsen fans on the board.

As some of you may or may not be aware, Olsen originally signed with Notre Dame. He actually was enrolled and practicing with the team his freshman year. His older brother Chris was then beat out by some freshman named Brady Quinn for the 2nd string QB job, and left the team. Greg promptly left too, and transferred to the "U" - and the rest is history. However, because Olsen was enrolled and officially on the roster, he had a team issued jersey ready for him, which was #86 - he was the only #86 on the roster in 2003 (I checked the media guide). Well, here's Olsen's acutal Team Issued 2003 Notre Dame jersey that never was used in a game.

Chaps! Lads! Are we from abroad? England maybe? Britain? Haha...j/p....;)

Anyway, to answer your question, there are 3 that made it to the market. '05, '06, and his '07. The '06 and '07 came with team papers and the '05 came from a source inside of the locker room.

Can't wait to see his TBTC jersey come around this season. That's gonna be a bad mamma jamma!

Man, do we need an edit function.

To finish with that statement - To own one of these would mean get to know the guys who have them. The 3 that are out there are privately owned. 1 by Rick, 1 by a former forum member, and the 3rd was sold at JO and has yet to resurface.

I got nothing new, just rehashing the same old crap.
I finally got around to checking the game footage for my Kellen Davis gamer. While I was watching I saw another jersey that looked familiar......my Greg Olsen jersey from the same game. I'd totally forgotten that both jerseys were used in the same game. Duh.
I never bothered to check game footage for the Olsen since it was so easy to match using press service photos but I'm looking for Davis matches and there it is.
Very cool that there were instances when they were both in the same shot, too.

I have a couple questions about gamers. What does the year/size tag sewn into the neckline indicate? Is it when the jersey was first used in a game or does it relate to the particular season its tagged for? I've noticed on JO Sports that the tag doesn't match the game they indicate in the description.

Second question, does anyone have or seen game used or issued from Urlacher's rookie season in the Nike jersey. I know someone who claims to have one, but after reading and seeing everyone's GU, I'm suspicious. I've seen one or two on ebay, but there isn't enough detail to compare. I'm wondering if the Nike jerseys had extra length and other details the Reebok gamers seem to have.

Thanks Jim

They year/size tag is sewn in for the season it was issued. The Bears are notorious for using jerseys years after they were sent from Berlin to the locker room for inventory (i.e. - Cutler's orange alt. jersey from '09 was tagged 05-48).

I have heard from a very reliable source that jerseys from Brian's rookie year DO NOT EXIST in the market. There has never been one given up to the market (used or issued), so any Nike jersey you have seen of Brian's on Flea Bay, or anywhere else are junk.

Hopes this helps.

Picked up my first Chicago Bears Game Used of Darrell McClover from JO Sports. I know McClover isn't a big name player, but I always liked his game, he had some great blocked punts for special teams. Shows great game use, but have yet to photo match. Haven't found a ton of McClover photos out there in the 98 uniform, I'll keep looking.

Not the best photos, I'll get better ones later.

Looking through past auction houses' sales it's easy for a Bears collector to determine that 90% of the Paytons that have been sold, (some for big money), are fakes.

I only know of a very small number that appear to be legitimate.
In fact, only 3 come to mind and one is in the Hall of Fame.

The two most important details to look for in a Payton are the size (42 and 44 ONLY) and the condition.......it should be hammered. Payton is famous for wearing the same jersey for an entire season and he got tagged on almost every play so his jerseys will be very beat up.

Walter is said to have used the same helmet for his entire career.

He wore the same pair of away pants for 9 seasons until the ass-end finally blew out of them in 1983. There are photos of Walter leaving the field with half of his butt exposed.

I remember that game, pretty funny when it happened.

American Memorabilia had one up a year or two ago, they had it on display at the Sun Times show. That things was beat to death if it was authentic.

Maybe 10 years ago, the helmet was on dispaly in a Payton exhibit at the train station in Aurora IL.

Your display of Bears jerseys and items is great, I like the shelf you build, not to mention the Bears jerseys etc.

34swtns

Thanks. I changed the color on all of my seats. They were originally light blue or yellow but very weathered and faded.
There's a company called Archer Seating who harvested all the seats from Soldier Field and they have the number plates.
They told me that even though they knew large sections of seats weren't available for salvage they still went through and removed all the extra number plates of famous Bears players because they knew those were the numbers people would want.

Great, thanks for the info, I'll give them a try. Did you use anything special for paint?

34swtns
08-02-2010, 08:27 PM
Krylon makes a special spray paint just for plastic.......but it doesn't bond to the seats any better than regular spray paint. It scratches easily.
I just keep anything abrasive off of them and do occasional touch-ups when they do get scratched.
I don't know of any way to prep the plastic before painting that wouldn't compromise it or make it more brittle than 30-40 year old plastic already is and it wasn't worth the risk to me to try anything like that so I just deal with the occasional scratch.

Recent pickups. Todd Perry game issued away jersey from 1997. The bottom of the jersey is in pretty rough shape due to wherever the past owner kept the jersey. I still feel it's a pretty cool lineman jersey from the late 90's.

Also, I got a pair of away navy pants from 1997. The pants are a size 46 long and featured scribbled out numbers that appear to be 68o and 79. I'm guessing these pants were worn in the preseason being that the only 68 on the roster was Reeves and was a D-lineman. Also, there was no 79. Along with the pants came a pair of home game socks.

I'm heading down to Bears Camp next week, so hopefully I will be able to find some goodies down there. BEAR DOWN!

Most of their stuff is consigned by private sellers. I believe they just use the information and pictures given to them. I'm not sure that they actually carry inventory. I may be wrong, but I remember when I dealt with them about putting together a package they said it would have to be split b/c different parties had the items I was looking at. Just my .02

I think the majority of Murf and Pat's inventory are now consignments. How well they move depends on the asking price the consignor wants before Murf adds his cut. For example, check Murf's large inventory of Chicago White Sox jerseys...rarely do any move because they're nearly all consigned by the same person (a Chicago area dealer renowned for overpricing game-used items). Murf apparently feels differently, but, personally, I wouldn't take a consignment if the owner had an inflated price on it.

Hi Bears Collector Guys: Just out of curiosity, I am wondering why there seem to be no game worn Bears helmets featured on this thread? Do most of you collect only game worn Bears jerseys, socks and shoes? Or are Bears game used helmets hard to find/obtain?

Chicago doesn't release helmets. Most guys will wear the same helmet their entire career. The Bears are very stingy about their equipment so it is very hard, if not impossible to obtain equipment, such as a helmet, that is owned by the team.

Trust me, if they were for sale, I would have a TON! :D

Well guys, after months and months of lurking, it give me great pleasure to make my first post in this thread; what I hope is the first of many. I've landed a bunch of stuff lately, largely thanks to deep discounts from JO and TRS (thanks guys!), and a favor from a friend. I hope I am not violating any forum rules with this book (mods, please grant mercy to a noob if I did--didn't see a limit in the rules and have seen some nice detailed posts in this thread) First up is a Mark Anderson home jersey worn on 10/04/09 against the Lions:

Next, Rashied Davis 2007 partial season worn, definite match to 10/04/07 against the Eagles:

And still paint marks on twill despite the team having washed it, probably from Eagles game:

Next up, Robbie Gould 2007 ProBowl issued with a nice auto from our favorite current placekicker:

Terry,

Welcome to the board and our little slice of heaven here on this thread. I have said it before and I will say it again - it is always nice to have another Bears collector out there (especially since Rick traded jerseys for lumber and hasn't come out about it yet ;))

If Matt would start spending his newly-acquired honest day's paycheck on gamers instead of liquor we wouldn't need new guys to take up the slack around here.

Terry, welcome to the darkside and I'm very happy to see you've moved up from the "kid's table", (put down that hot dog and help yourself to a plate of steak).

Sweet additions, indeed, and congratulations are in order. That Anderson has been to war! The Davis is awesome as well. I'm gonna have to snag an away gamer or two one of these days......just haven't run across the right ones yet.

Again, welcome aboard and keep 'em coming!

P.S., If anyone has any leads on orange alt. gamers, used or even just issued, please let me know (Rick, I know you had some orange, if you're ever looking to find a new home for one ;) ). Just got back from Bourbonnais after getting absolutely cooked by the sun. I managed to get Izzy Idonije and Marcus Harrison to sign their game used jerseys after practice. The Izzy reads "Bear Down" and "I-Train". Harrison's auto got a little messed up from him sweating on it while he was signing it. Yeah, it sucks that the auto isn't 100% clear, but he did add more sweat to the already beat up jersey. :)

Also, I managed to find this Cade McKnown shirt for $5 in the pro shop. I figured this joke was worth $5. Now I have something to wear if the team sucks this year. LOL!!!

I noticed that Urlacher just kind of appeared on the practice field. Kids were waiting for him, but never saw him actually come out. From what I overheard in conversations, it sounded like Urlacher, Kreutz and Manumaleuna were pretty much hit and miss.

I will say, if you're heading down and happen to have a B-list or C-list game worn jersey, there's pretty good chance the player will be more than happy to sign it. I know both Marcus Harrison and Izzy Idonije were more than gracious to add their sig to their jerseys. Marcus saw me before practice, smiled at the sight of his jersey and made sure to take his time signing the jersey after practice...even if he was still dripping all over it. :)

I'm from WV and for me to go to Camp and not get his Auto would be a little bit of a bummer. I went to see Tebow in Beckley, WV was 3rd in line and finally after he spoke for the banquet they said he couldn't sign autos which was a huge bummer, but i got a pic with him and he was like i can't sign your jersey, but go talk to my agent she got my information and sent me a signed game ball a week later with COA and everything. But after that i was like before i make a trip i want to make sure and i was thinking about making the trip to training camp next year to get BU to sign my Game issued jersey.

I've been to camp plenty of times, I'd say BU is a tough auto to get. Camp can also be a bit crazy when players sign, especially around Urlacher.

If I'm getting my game issued jersey signed, I'd get it at a show where I know I'll get a nice auto, but that's just me.

Agreed! Brian is one you want to get at a signing. He is a little more 'easy going' (if that is the right word...) at a signing. I have been to numerous signings with Brian and he was always polite and took the time to ask where I wanted things signed, and so on. I can imagine that at camp, on the streets, after a game he would just scribble real quick and move on about his business.

Keep an eye out. I'm sure he will be signing soon. If I hear anything about one I will be sure to pass it along as I have quite a few things that need to be tagged still.

With a sig that ugly, the only saving grace would be if you had a pic of him signing it.

You can say that again. My hope is to someday get to a private signing to have Urlacher "correct" it with a larger version of his full sig. This one came to me by way of WindyCityFlyer23 at a killer price, so I can't complain too much.

Am I correct in the assumption that this is a retail authentic? There's no namplate on the back, its a size 38 with the silk/plastic tag and a flag tag with B-Z. The tag photo is blurry, I'll try to get one up later.

Is it possible to get a nameplate for this after all these years? Thanks Jim

Nameplates are easy, you just need the old Wilson navy fabric and I've got plenty of that leftover from old junk jerseys.
Getting the attribution done is the tricky part. You have to find someone who can do 2-layer heat pressed vinyl lettering......using the correct font......and the right shade of "burnt orange".

It's a post-1987 jersey so that would make it a Neal Anderson, which is a pretty common jersey. It was the biggest selling Bears jersey after Walter retired in '88. Honestly, the hassle and expense it would take to have it attributed is way more than its eventual value.

If you can land an issued with the "C" patch, you scored BIG! The Bears recycle those $3.00 patches as well and, if I am not mistaken they only get put on the jerseys that are worn that day/night. So to find one with a real team "C" would be tough, considering Brian usually keeps his extras for himself and family.

Hhhmmm. The nameplate looks just like Sand-Knit's blue fabric from their retail authentics.

I don't know, and how is yellow more visible than white? It would be less visible, I would think.
I would definitely need to hear that story from someone other than an auction house's description of an item before I considered purchasing it, personally.

I could certainly be wrong but if somebody offered that to me for sale I would immediately think that it was a Bears team-issued jersey with a bad "mom and pop sports shop" attribution......but anything's possible, I suppose.

If anyone else can corroborate the legend of the Bears yellow nameplate lettering and mismatched fabric, I'd love to hear it.

Depends on the size, the tag, the nameplate, etc..

For example, a size 42-44 with a cloth tag and proper letters and spacing on the nameplate can go as high as $400-500.

On the other end of the spectrum, a size 38-40 or 46-48, with a silk tag and nameplate lettering too close together and/or with the oversized orange outline, sell for between $100-200.

Keep in mind, I'm only refering to the navy/home version.

The white/away version........there are so few of them out there, the sky is the limit, pricewise. If I had one for sale I would start the bidding at $500.

Here's a couple photos, let me know your thoughts, manufactured after Payton retired according to the tag, correct?

Correct. That would be January of 1988.

Manufacture date and silk tag aside, that's a nice nameplate with medium spacing and the correct thickness for the outline.

If I were putting that one up for sale I'd like to see it fetch around $300.

Let's get this back on track, recently in receipt of an Urlacher jersey, its a supposed pre season game used. The date of the game is written on the tag, but not much wear, can't really photo match. Any help or opinions would be appreciated, no time for my own photos yet. I figured at the least, even if I can't prove game use, at the least, its game issued.

I'm still fuming that I failed to bid on that nice Payton retail authentic that I posted about recently !! Go Bears !!

You are correct, no elastic hem, and no +4, but I've seen some gamers that don't have the hem or the +4. Am I correct in that evaluation?

Plus, you're correct again, even if there isn't game use, I got the almost worn, hanging out in the locker, please wear me jersey and auto to boot.

Brian doesn't use +4. He has been a 50 since early in his career, so if you are looking at jerseys that are 50 +4, that should immediately be a red flag.

I was originally uncomfortable that a "dated" '07 game issued jersey was not hemmed, and the penmanship on that jock tag had me thinking too....(but the pics weren't the best).....

None the less, its definitely a nice score! You don't see those pop up very often. Congrats.

OH BOY ~

Scott, you got it on the patch. That thing is garbage. Thread missing around the border, the stars look like, well, not good. Not to mention that is it just the all around shape and size. Those patches are a dime a dozen on eBay, but that thing never even saw the city of Chicago, let alone the locker room....

Rick and I chatted last night and noticed that it was the older cut jersey. Jay wore the Bronco Cut jersey throughout the 2009 season and this gem still has the seam across the chest. He may have had some made up in pre-season but that would rule this one out since this one comes with the patch (which is not used in preseason).

And yeah, 52 is a little big for a QB on the run, haha. I would love to run the black light over that thing and find out who it really belonged to......

Item: Jersey
Primary Subject: GAME USED
Authentication Location: NFL
Result/Grade: Authentic
Notes: Brian Urlacher jersey vs. Giants 11/7/04 -- 03 - 50"S"

But hey, its certified by NFL Auctions! They have never made a mistake. That's as good as it gets right there. The hell with the "light wear" as described in our e-mails, it has those papers!.....

Rick, I agree. Without a solid photomatch, it doesn't hold alot of water with me either. With the problems noted in previous threads here about NFL Auctions, and other reasons, it just isn't good enough for me. I don't care if it came with a letter from Jesus Christ himself - I do not trust NFL Auctions so I always like to do my homework first. Especially when the cheddar is in the 4 figure amount.

Seeing those pics from Mulli though, it looks like a nice piece.

Mulligans
09-01-2010, 01:33 PM
I'm pretty Sure the Urlacher is a 1 Gamer (but aren't they all today?) The Urlacher has some good staining and lots of BO, but no major gauges!

I did get the Pants and the Benson is totally pounded.

Hey Matt....I'm with you on a lot of the paperwork these days and the NFL does make some mistakes. But at the end of the Day, the NFL Auctions paperwork is pretty solid for NFL Jerseys.

I am Big Time into Photo matching and try to do it for all of my Jerseys. I recently nailed one of my best Photomatches ever. It was an absolute perfect "No Miss" match. I'm talking staining, loose thread, nameplate.....all spot on!

I uncovered some rocks and found that the behind the Alias was one Steven A. Misturini! He went out of his way to work the Jersey like an Artist......So I guess you can say that even the Cons are stepping up their game a notch.

TriplexXxSports
09-01-2010, 02:59 PM
My whole thing with papers is this:

Are they good for authentication - sure (if you look for that in a purchase). But who is to say that people/companies are all that honest?

Example: Let's say that someone got a NFL Auctions Authentic (Urlacher, lets say) from 2005, w/ papers. In that same year, month, day, or whatever, he bought a game used '05 Urlacher, w/ papers.

If the game used is as good as gold (based on wear, photomatches, etc.) and now he has a duplicate (so to speak), why not peel the sticker(s) and switch the papers. Now he gets to keep his gamer and sell the authentic (with different papers) as game used for 5x's the cash.

See, papers can be switched to benefit a sale, especially in high dollar items. I'm not accusing anyone of doing that, but you have to look at the dark side.

That's why for me, papers mean d*ck. A photomatch is definitely the ace in the hole over all else. If a jersey is certified as game used (especially to a particular game) and cannot be matched (assuming there are pics available from that game), then what good is it?

Not to throw turds at the wall, but I know of a NFL Auctions jersey - certified, sold, and then resold as a GAME USED jersey with the pink captains patch with not a lick of wear. The numbers are spotless, no creases, sweat marks, wrinkles, NOTHING. Further attempts at photomatching even revealed that the "C" patch was not even in the right spot. (Us die hards here know the jersey I'm referring to).

Now, a jersey certified as a gamer but a photomatch that proves otherwise. Or, a jersey with no papers that is a dead on match to 1, or several, games......

Think about that.

You'd be butchered if I'd posted shots of you on your ass with a 150 lb. opponent on top of you or shots of you on the bench with your head in your hands crying 'cuz you just got trucked by a kick returner named "Sergio".

Any thoughts on the authenticity of this jersey, no expert at all, but I have my thoughts. The 2 things that stand out to me is that I haven't been able to find a Singletary photo with either the V neck or the material seams in the shoulders, and the Wilson tag also looks off.

Am I even close?

Like you, Iwas only seeing round necks on Iron Mike's jerseys, with the NFL logo below the collar edge, instead of on it. Any photo searches to verify or disput this jersey's status would require looks at 1991 and 1992 jerseys...1991 was the year the NFL shield logo was added, and 1992 was Singletary's last year playing.

Singletary Jersey thoughts:
Those "ribbed" shoulders on the jersey are usually a Linemen cut. I can't think, off hand, of anyone else wearing that style of jersey that wasn't a Lienman.

My Playing this weekend:
It was a long day Saturday. I ended up playing all of the All-Star game and made it to my second game by the middle of the 1st quarter. That would be 8 quarters of football!

The All-Star game was a blast. The game featured 12 min quarters with a running clock, so the first half only took about 30 min to play. Our NFC squad ended up losing by a field goal because a WR tried to recreate the Music City Miracle by throwing the ball across the filed during a kickoff. Of course it was picked off with 30 seconds to go to set up the go ahead field goal. Damn, WR's! :)

As to game two, we got smoked like a Christmas ham. We were down 7-0 by the time I got there. As soon as I was dressed I got thrown out there to play ironman for 4 consecutive series, which I wasn't happy about. Our Offense was non-existent and, to be honest, this team sucks. We ended up losing 45-6 and I'm a little banged up. Honestly, I'm not sure I'm going to make it to game 17 on the year. I'm about 70% sure I'm going to shut it down for the year starting this week. If there was a championship on the line that would be one thing, but to put my body on the line after playing this much football for this crap ass team...I don't think so.

Quite the array of Gamers on NFL Auctions from last nights beat down. A Urlacher (already over $2000), a Hester, and a Peppers.

I wonder if that means that all the Pink Captains (BCA) jerseys will head to the NFL for the auctions.

Should be cool to see what outlandish prices these 3 should fetch. As far as I know, this is the first Peppers to hit the open market....

Sweet setup there BU! Love that Bears paint scheme.

Matt, what's wrong with someone dropping 9 large on a jersey with a questionable pedigree, an incorrect nameplate and absolutely no photomatches?

Folks can "do whatever they want" with their money. They can WAY overpay for an item that will ultimately prove to be worth half the asking price or prove to be not even game used at all if they want to.
Hell, just ask all the rubes bidding up all the NFL Auction stuff, they'll tell you. It's their money and as long as they're happy, well..........

So, Matt, mind your bidness and let people "burn through 'dey dough like 'dey's no tomorrow"!

Well seeing these final hammer prices (Hester $1000, Pep $2500, & BU $4500 - Its a fair assumption to say that set the bar for this years market value. Especially that Pep jersey.

I can't see anyone else getting more out of these (considering they are the BCA jerseys and NFL Auctions usually has the highest auction prices).

Thoughts?

34swtns
10-19-2010, 03:09 PM
Agreed, 100%. These ended about where I thought they would.
1st new Bears jerseys of the season, BCA specialty items, and not to mention NFL Auctions pieces which always sell for way more than they are ultimately worth, equals what should be the higher end of the measuring stick for 2010 Bears jerseys.

JO should take note of indicators like this and price new items accordingly, meaning regular home and away jerseys of like players most likely should be priced at around 65% of the final hammer price of these NFLA jerseys. Lesser players, around 50%, give or take.

All bets are off regarding the 2010 alternate jerseys which you can bet will be through the roof, pricewise. It will be interesting to see how many of these get snatched up quickly and how many warm the shelves in the coming months.

TriplexXxSports

That's even if those throwback's even hit the market. They still have the Minn. game that they will wear them in but, word on the street is, most (if not all) of them will never make it to the market. Just like those alternates from '04.

Should one or 2 creep out, I agree, they will be costly!

Pretty sure NFL allows teams only one alternate style jersey to be used per season. With Bears already using the throwback this year as the alternate, they wouldn't be allowed to crack out orange this year. Sure it will be back next season.

I don't think that's correct, the Broncos wore their throwbacks last year and wore the orange alternates as well. They wore the orange alternates on October 4, 2009 against the Cowboys. The next week they wore the throwbacks against the Patriots.

Here's what gets me... they drop Brown, Ogunleye, and Anderson, and then have the audacity to go sign another D-lineman (who has already been cut by the way), meanwhile, Tommie looks like a sack of potatoes out there?! I thought the defense was holding up great this year even in lieu of this, but it sure would have been nice if Angelovie could have actually put something together with all those walks and brought in some real O-line talent... I think DJ Moore may be the future of the Bears secondary the way he's been playing...

The COA doesn't address game usage...just the autograph.

The separate year and size tags also concern me.

Just remember who the seller is...Steven D. Berg, one of the guys convicted in the first FBI investigation of the hobby (the same one that nabbed Steve Ryan of North Shore Sports). Also, BTW, the same guy who got hold of a legitmate COA of mine and used his computer to make hundreds with the item description removed and my signature left intact so he could write his own to sell bad items and make it look like I gave them a thumbs up. Not worth the trouble.

It is pretty crappy, and the seller states it's the same as the pros would wear on the field (even though it's obviously crappier and the Bears never used Starter unies). Still, though, to be fair, I see no mention of the jersey purportedly being game used, so any deception is in the quality and supplier of the jersey, not a claim of being worn in a game.

I would suspect that if it only reached $52, there must be some issues. The Lou Lampson letter is less than comforting as well. The helmet may have made its rounds in the auction scene stirring up questions before, building a previous reputation as a problematic lid, but without the proper research on it, that is only a guess.

IMO - (1) if it's on eBay, (2) during the biggest buying season of the year, and (3) it only reached $52 - then there ARE issues with it. Certified or not. A helmet with that potential would fetch thousands if it had better provenance.

By no means am I a helmet guy, so I have no educational guess for you on what issues it may have. I figured you would know more than us.

This is a job/question for Robert, or if someone cares to take the time, hop on Getty and try to at least style match it.

I completely agree with that assessment, at the minimum those factors should be enough to raise a red flag with collectors. I looked on Getty and it appears that after a few minutes of research, a style match can be made. There is one thing that bothers me, the angle of the facemask on the ebay helmet seems to be vastly different than the Getty images. The ebay facemask angles away from the helmet at a sharper degree than the photos I looked at on Getty.

My newest pickup from the JO sale. Rashied Davis home jersey from '09 used against the Cardinals. There was a previous repair on the right shoulder, so there's a chance it was used in the BCA Lions game as well. Hopefully this is the case because I nabbed the would be matching BCA used wristbands a while back.

That would be me... :D

I haven't paid him for it yet, I'm still working on the funds for 2 other jerseys (Danielle Manning and Adrian Peterson).

I was thinking of letting it go. But it sounds like I would be a little crazy if I did.

My question is who snatched that away Izzy Idonije? I would be posting pics of that instead of 'Shied had I moved a little faster. :)

I was looking at that Izzy as well, but I was a little too slow, and that includes pants as well. A good deal at $375

Ya, that would have looked great with the home jersey I got a while back and had him sign at camp this year. Oh well, maybe it will show up on the secondary market.

Detroit gave our guys a run for their money (as they have with most opponents), but, again came up short.
