Braves memorabilia, including game-worn Braves jerseys, autographed baseballs, bats, photos, lineup cards, and player-signed baseballs from other teams, including the Boston Red Sox, will be on sale and up for auction June 16-18, during Atlanta Braves Foundation Weekend. Fans attending the Atlanta Braves vs. Boston Red Sox games Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, can shop for and bid on items in the Hank Aaron Room at Field Level, Aisle 128, starting each day when the gates open 2.5 hours before game time.
Other valuable items up for auction and on sale include a Jeff Francoeur game-worn jersey, Edgar Renteria game-used bat, John Smoltz game-worn jersey, 2005 "Baby Braves" autographed group photo, Chipper Jones game-worn jersey, Andruw Jones autographed bat, limited edition Braves Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirt signed by the entire Braves team, a 2005 All Star Game Baseball signed by Andruw Jones and John Smoltz, and much more.
In 2005, Atlanta Braves Foundation Weekend generated an all time high of more than $76,000 for the Atlanta Braves Foundation and its Grants Program. The Atlanta Braves Foundation is the non-profit arm of the Atlanta Braves that actively supports community organizations and their programs within the metro Atlanta area. Since its inception in 1992, the Atlanta Braves Foundation has provided support to thousands of metro Atlanta based organizations and has contributed more than 1 million dollars in financial assistance to the community. Through the generous support of Braves players, employees, sponsors and fans, the Atlanta Braves Foundation continuously strives to improve the quality of life for our youth.
