The White Rat got the call from Cooperstown this morning. Anybody have any Herzog gamers in their collections? I have two jerseys, a 1981 road and a 1984 pre-game.

That's great but it is a shame that Marvin Miller did not get in, the guy is over 900 years old and his actions changed the game forever (though for better or worse depends on individual opinion) or Jacob Rupert, arguably the game's most successful owner ever from a success on the field standpoint.

Correction to my last post I meant 90 not 900.

Whitey - a great ambassador to MLB. Here's to swealtering St. Louis summers in the 1980's:

Doug Harvey, about time.

No jersey, but on the side of a fairly rare UMPIRE's signed ball from the 1974 WS:

Mr Doug 'GOD' Harvey himself!!!

Whitey was a great manager and is a great guy. Glad to see him recognized.

Very interesting how he diverted attention to McGwire, citing that Mac needs to "come clean" and that he wouldn't be surprised if Mac changes his mind about becoming the hitting instructor before the season begins.

Thought I would post some shots of my '86-'89 Whitey Herzog R43 LS. The bat has no use and was signed 8 January 1995 at John A. Logan College, COA photo #3. Not sure why he had contract bats manufactured, but here is one.
