Hmm willing to bet the buyer was from the Pacific Rim. And it is actually a bargain compared to last spring when the Marniers auctioned off throwback jerseys worn in one game and his full uniform went for over 20 grand. At least it is real unlike the one from American Memorabilia that has generated so much discussion on here.Comment

The Japanese pay heavily for their star players. Good for them! Ichiro is a fine example of a star player that plays with heart and soul and has never been even hinted at for Steroids. I think for those collectors looking for a player to "invest" in, this guy is a safe bet. If you can snag his stuff at a great price, I think you can basically sit back and let it grow in value.
That being said, I'm glad my guys shirts sell for $150 and less
$12,000 isn't really that much except when you realize my wife would then take half my stuff in the divorce settlement.......Comment
