2008 Boston Red Sox Team Signed Jackie Robinson Day Game-used Home Plate

I bought this game used plate from MLB. Here is the link. It says that it is game used, but shows no sign whatsoever that it is GU? The date is April 15th 2008 and the Sox were away in Cleveland?

The logo is a decal which would have needed to go on after the game or it would have been destroyed during the game.

Any thoughts? I sent MLB an E-mail some time ago, but never got a response.

    Maybe a Pre-game Ceremony?

Thats what I was thinking, then it seemed odd that the Sox were out of town on that date, yet still had rights to the plate?

I guess its possible that the actual event took place in Boston on a different date?

Would you still consider it game used if it was for a ceremony?

He's right....they're placed over home plate until the game starts.

I wouldn't really consider them game used. No action took place on it. It's mainly considered stadium-memorabilia in my opinion.
