ARod G/U Sunglasses - Good item or not?

While most players in the field where sunglasses, you don't see these items for sale. Not that I would pay $799 for ARod sunglasses, I am intrigued.

So I came across these $799 Alex Rodriguez game used sunglasses. Is this an item you would buy if you collected ARod.

If they were Palmeiro sunglasses I would buy, but not at $800.

ouch! you have a good point there, but your 2006 Sori collection is top notch. although, I'm still not sure I would pony up $800

If they were Bagwell sunglasses, with an MLB hologram, I would buy them. However, $800 seems really steep. I would consider paying $400-600 for them though, if they showed dirt and usage.

I have a pair of Griffeys gargoyles but did not pay $800 for them. Pretty unique item.

..I have a pair of Giambi's..and I think they're a pretty cool item just because of the uniqueness of them.I mean,of all game-used items, this would have to rank right up there with belts or stirrups of your favorite player as stuff you just see too often.
Still,$800 seems pretty high, especially seeing as how much of A-Rods stuff is\will be out there.

I am amazed that people already own game used sunglasses. Maybe you can post some photos.

I agree with Frik that $400 to $600 seems to be the right price depending on the player.

Figure $150 to $200 for a good pair of sunglasses and then the cost of the sig plus a premium for "game use".

Cool looking item and they would display nicely with a GU hat. I would buy but $800 is a steep price (but not surprising for Arod).

A waste to me. Caps, Bats, Jerseys, Helmets, gloves those are what I would want from a baseball player not his belt, socks, pants or in this case sunglasses.

I partially agree with you on the items you mention except if you are putting together a game used uniform, all of these items are amazing.

Look at Jim's post of the Adam Dunn full uniform. He has the Jersey, pants, cleats, belt, batting gloves and in Jim's case they are matching Set 2 jersey & pants.

I would agree that the socks or belt by themselves would be a waste.

I think I agree with that.Unless I was working on a full uniform,I don't think I'd bother with socks or belts. In fact, while I do own a pair of pants,I've actually let other pairs go as I just don't have much interest in them either to be honest..
