admittedly, most of my knowledge is with hockey stuff, but im considering looking into a brett bat (he was my elvis growing up).

besides confirming records, what should i be on the lookout for? any red flags? and does anyone know of any reputable ones for sale right now?

in researching his stuff online (this board and elsewhere), it seems like there's a ton of bogus brett stuff floating around--bats and jerseys--and seeing as how id have to sell off a chunk of my existing collection to make any purchase, id have to know for certain that what id be buying is real. (quick side story, i actually learned that i bid on a bogus jersey of his a couple of years ago from looking through some old threads. thankfully, i lost!)

the fact that there's almost always a bat for sale on ebay has me iffy about the whole thing as well

any help would be greatly appreciated.
