With all talk of Sanchez jersey selling for 20k, thought I post this sweet looking Carey Price goalie mask that fetched even more than that on NHL.com auctions. These are real pieces of art. Nice they have photo of him wearing it in the 100th Celebration game he used it in. Also included was tickets to a game and meet and greet.

I was watching that as well, thought it would go for a good amount, but was a bit surprised at the final price. Great mask though. Value is also usually directly related to the artist who did the graphics.

Nice article on the masks. Makes the Remembrance Day mask a steal at 7k compared to the 20k for Centennial game worn mask.

Carey Price's Centennial Game mask (left) and the Remembrance Day model, both of which have sold at auction.
Allen McInnis, Gazette
Two worn-once Carey Price masks with unique paint schemes have sold at auction for a combined $27,650.
The Canadiens goalie and his mask designer, David Arrigo, developed special motifs for the mask he wore Nov. 12 in Phoenix to commemorate Remembrance Day (http://auction.nhl.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=111806660&prmenbr=12717464&aunbr=112153370) and Dec. 4 for the Canadiens' Centennial Game (http://auction.nhl.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=111806659&prmenbr=12717464&aunbr=112153369) against Boston. The Remembrance Day mask attracted 10 bids and a highest of $7,100, while the Centennial Game model drew 77 bids, its highest at $20,550.
Follow the links above to see each listing at auctions.nhl.com, where you'll find a closer look at each and the worthwhile charities they will support. Congratulations and well done to the buyers, who also will meet Price at an upcoming game as part of their purchase.

There is a goalie mask collector in Florida who has an amazing collection and I wouldn't be surprised if he won it.

Barry is a member here under the name GameUsedSticks

At the bottom of this link you can see some of his masks:
