Vintagedeputy, Is this in reference to the black L/S Madlock that The Lumber Company recently sold on e-bay with a hard to read uniform number on the butt? Just asking.

earlywynn - thanks. Not exactly what I was searching for but I appreciate the effort greatly.

swoboda. Nope, nothing to do with an auction. I have a Madlock gamer and I was trying to identify the specific team it was used with by any identifying characteristics of the uniform number on the knob.

Its a 77-79 LS with #18 on the knob. I know that's from his days with the Giants but I was trying to pinpoint an exact year. The knob is numbered in purple so I was trying to see if he numbered it that color or if that was a specific clubhouse person from a certain year that did it. I just like to try to pinpoint exact years if possible.

What's the Model Number ( a few were unique to a specific year within that labeling period) and what is the finish -- Hickory, Natural, Wax, or Hornsby (dark brown almost black) and the length?
