    BMH Question

    Brian,

I have a 1974 World Series bat that has a center label and Powerized stamp that are much larger than any other HB label I've seen from that era. I have talked to John Taube about this and he told me HB experimented with this large label during the World Series in hopes the label would show up more clearly during the telecast. The story goes that MLB was not happy with the large label and HB scrapped the plan after the World Series.

Do you have any recollections of that label and can you add any more insight to the story JT gave me?

I suspected you might have been too young for that period. Thanks anyway

Does anyone else here have a 74 WS bat to share? Can anyone else add to John Taube's story?
