Is GAI in the bat authentication business now?

Whats the problem here. In the GAI letter they state Clemente did not order this model during the time period but it's still a pro model which it is. The only thing i see here is the seller is trying to sell a Clemente index bat as a gamer.

I agree with Yanks--- check out the GAI letter closely (written in 2003 with Dave Bushing on the bats side and Mike Gutierrez on the autograph side)... The LOA correctly provides the pertinent information regarding the records, undocumented status of the bat, etc. For clarification, no orders of 34.5" or shorter bats of any model are documented in Clemente's records after 1963, and no orders of O16 are documented after 1965. Also, model O16 is Clemente's pro stock model.

While I agree that it is most probobaly a team index bat I think the seller is asking for the big money because the bat has a Clemente signature. While it is a small sig and not very legibile it is still a game model Clemente bat that has his signature I think that could explain his asking for the big money
Just my 2 cents

I agree, also with it being a best offer auction he is obviously not looking to get 13k who knows what offer he may accept.
