    2009 LVS question - BMH??

This weekend a saw a 2009 LVS M9 Matt Holliday bat that came from the Cardinals. The bat had the normal date stamp, I think it was 9/30/09, and of course the weight/length stamp. The bat also had an "A" stamped right in the center of the knob. The bat showed good use and was cracked.

Can anyone elaborate on this "A" stamped into the knob? Brian can you help please??

    Thanks
    Jason

Yep, Amish Maple. We stamp it with an "A" to tell it from our regular Maple. That way if there is a problem we can trace it back to either our Maple stock or the Amish.
