There's no such thing as being able to add pixels to a picture. It's impossible. There's no program that can do it. If you blow up a picture it'll just reveal the pixels, so you can't get a higher resolution on any picture. You'd need the original photo to have the full resolution

when you enlarge a section of a small picture, what is happening?

When you take a picture, it creates a certain amount of squares.

              1 pixel = 1 square

              1 megapixel = 1 million squares

My camera has 12 megapixels, so when I take a picture, it creates 12 million squares to make up the picture.

If I double the size of the picture, no matter what, there will still be 12 million squares, so blowing up the picture will just make those squares bigger, but the resolution will still be the same.

The size of the picture originally posted is 366x290. When you multiply those 2 numbers, it gives you the amount of pixels, which is 106,140. So no matter how large you blow it up, there will always be 106,140 squares that make up the picture. The resolution won't change unless you make the picture even smaller.

Well, what it be considered the same jersey as mine because I didn't photomatch it, but it's hologramed to this game which there was only on jersey for this game, and two jerseys for the entire 3 game series? That's basically what I'm trying to get at.

gotcha. if i enlarge using the program the pixel still stays the same
594 x 394 is still the same if i enlarge it.

but there is also this thing where you can change something from
say 594 x 396 and select 1920x1080 in the infanview program. the photo seem to enlarge.

                  what does that do?

Here;s my jersey, I can't match it but as I said earlier it's dated to this game and there was only one jersey for the game.

You can change the size of the photo to whatever you want it to, but the original pixels will stay. The size of a photo in my camera is 4288x2848 (12 megapixels). Even if I resize it to 5000x3321 (16mp), it won't actually bring it up to 16 megapixels. All it does is make the squares larger to build a larger photo. It will worsen the quality but make it bigger.
