NEW Ebay Buyer Protection

Not sure if any of you guys noticed but Ebay unveiled there new Buyer Protection today as it will no longer be run by PayPal and you will have to do it all through Ebay. Even though both companies are one in the same.

I looked through briefly and seems like they are encouraging buyer fraud :eek:. Imagine that.

well the first thing I read is this:

"We'll cover your purchase price plus original shipping if you don't recieve your item of if it's not as described"

If that statement doesn't explain it you must not be a Ebay seller.

What about a seller protection program? Buyers should have to have a valid credit card on file with Ebay to bid and once they win it should automaticially be charged like MLB and NFL Auctions do. Then Ebay should subtract their fees and every month remit the money to sellers. So the seller does not have to chase people for money. If a buyer's credit card does not work more than once he or she should be permantly banned from the site and the seller should be entitled to relist the item immediately for free. Also additional pictures should be free and required in all listings of all sides of the item and the seller should be required to describe the item's condition in detail. Once that is done there should be no returns. Buyers should be required to purchase tracked, insured shipping for all items over $50. As for fees buyer and seller should both pay a straight 5% fee on the amount of the winning bid up to $50 each. there should be no listing or reserve fees. That
