    Tale of three Leiters

I was looking at my three Al Leiter bats today and noticed interesting discrepancies and rather large variations between the lengths.

    1) 2002-2004 Louisville C235 34 3/4 inches
    2) 1998 Rawlings Adirondack 456B 34 inches
    3) 2000 WS Rawlings Adirondack 456S 32 3/4 inches

I know players towards the end of their careers have ordered lighter and shorter bats. Robin Ventura used 33" bats nicknamed STUMPY during his career which differed from his normal 34" bats.

Has anyone ever seen noticeable size differences between bats of other players?

I love the one with his name spelled wrong. Lol. I played Little League with both Al and Mark and still talk to Mark regularly.

Next time you talk to Mark can you ask him if he can ask Al why he had bats which ranged from 32 3/4 to 34 3/4 inches during his playing days?

      Thanks
