No Captain's C, tags in wrong spot, team name on front of road jersey, among other problems...the seller needs a reality check.

Guys,

I am making a serious run at this one, so it would be great if everyone clears the way for me :p

Just kidding...

But seriously, no matter how hard we try, the number of threads we start about this one will never match the # of flaws with it.

You can get your money back plus make $50 if it's not authentic.

Sounds like a good opportunity.

I wonder if I win the auction if he would just save me the trouble and just send me the $50??

Good luck getting the refund and $50 extra bucks I love when people give those guarentees to induce people to buy, after all why would you offer to cost yourself extra money if it is not real but the hard part is getting the refund. These guys tend to disappear.

I think the problem is how would you prove that it is not game used to someone who (no matter how ridiculous it may seem) purports that it is? If it's your word (even if backed up by fact) against his, then what do you resort to? A third party? And wouldn't there be a charge in doing so? Perhaps more than $50.00?

That is another issue. Say you hire Mears to authenticate it they say it is bogus he goes out and hires some shady authenticator who says its real. You likely will have paid more than $50 and be stuck with the bogus item.

Well, with an explanation like that, I would have replied back: "Oh, man, I didn't know it came from the locker room. Sorry to have questioned it. I was all turned around on this one, but thanks for straightening me out."
