    Jim Bibby dead at 65

    Jim Bibby has passed away at age 65. Cause of death has, as of this time, not been disclosed.

    Bibby pitched from 1972-84 with St. Louis, Cleveland, Texas and Pittsburgh. He hurled the frst no-hitter in Rangers history and was a member of the "We Are Family" World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates in 1979. He started two games in the '79 Series, including the final game seven.

        Hearing the sad news this afternoon took me back to the summer of 1980 when I had my picture taken with Mr. Bibby outside of Veterans Stadium as he and a handful of teammates walked to their team hotel after a game..RIP
