Melissa Belote, an American swimmer who won 3 gold medals at the 1972 Munich Games, had those medals and other items stolen from her home in Tempe, Arizona. While the medals were normally kept in a safety deposit box, she had withdrawn them recently to show kids at an elementary school presentation.
