Akinori Iwamura bats are pretty rare. I have seen 10 or 11 bats of his come up for sale since 2007. I have two. One I bought from the 2008 Devil Rays Fanfest and the other from mlb.com auctions......

Thank you to Historic Auctions for the nice bat and fast shipping!

I received the bat today. It is only the second White Nike Bat of his I have seen hit the market!

I now have three bats of his and only have seen around 12 bats of his come up for sale!

Will post pics later on today!

A month or two ago the only other white bat of his that I have seen hit the market went for $349.00 on ebay.

I got one of my red ones on mlb.com for $220.00 about three months ago. I think I got lucky......

Is Aki pretty popular in Japan?

Who is the most popular MLB player in Japan? I will guess Matsui?

Three years is a long time to be away from home. Where else have you been stationed?

He's some what popular, You see his Nike Fielding glove and Nike Metal bats over here for sale(which im thinking of picking up) the most popular over here is Ichiro though.

I was thinking Ichiro after I posted Matsui.

But I watched a program (I can't remember where I saw it) about Matsui and how he has a museum over there that has his stuff from grade school on up. Even report cards from school. I am pretty sure a family member of his owns the museum.

Have you seen it?

Here you go.... On the white bat is has TECO on an oval. I assume it is not for Tampa Electric Company....lol....

All has a larger "1" for his uniform number. Maybe the other number is a batch number or serial number??? I don't think it is a date???

They all measure just below 33 1/2" aprox 33 3/8".....

Funny thing though, a broken batting helmet, only sold for only $105.00. Maybe because it is not mlb authentic.

Aki Iwamura Game-used Batting Helmet broken 5.11.10 vs. Reds.
